Dear Parents/Guardians,
We will be welcoming our students back on August 15. Our building is clean and shiny and we are so excited for our students to return.
Just some things to set as priorities for the new year;
• We would love for every student to be at school every day unless they are ill. Please call or email if they are ill by 9:00 a.m. The phone number to call is (217)948-5175 or 5174. The email is absent@kansas.k12.il.us.
• Please try to be at school on time. Those few minutes add up through the year and the students miss academics and other important opportunities to learn.
• We will have free lunches for all students again this year.
• If you have a student who drives and plans on driving to a sport practice/event, make sure the transportation request is filled out. The same goes for a passenger. They may not ride without a transportation request.
• Elementary teachers will have letters going home weekly so that parents/guardians can stay up to date on activities in their child’s classroom.
• We have some new staff members that we will introduce through Facebook and our website.
• If you have any questions throughout the year, please do not hesitate to call and talk to a secretary, teacher, counselor or administrator. We are here for you and your students.
